If a guy were to read “Pride and Prejudice” by Jane Austen to me – a few chapters at a time – over the course of a few dates, I would SWOON.

It would be lovely. I really LOVE someone reading aloud to me.

Oh, and don’t forget the wine and candles.

ALL BOOKS ARE FREE AT THE LIBRARY.

Really dude, reading a romantic novel to her is not the way to go. She’ll lose interest or you’ll be looking at the book instead of in her eyes. If you need to read something, as cheesy as it may be, some romantic poetry that you’ve committed to memory is nice. I’d advise talking about normal things, its always good to talk about her interests, her family, her life, ask her questions, and make her feel as though you enjoy her presence and company. You just want to be comfortable around her, she wants to be comfortable too, so just relax. :)

    the notebook!
you could read it to her and then watch the movie, all girls LOVE that movie (:
then maybe before you watch the movie, take her to a nice dinner and talk about whatever she wants to talk about.
    good luck (:

I think I would pick an old classic like Wuthering Heights. You didn’t say the age of the girl, but in books like this, there is no profanity, no obscenity, no violence. It’s just love that transcends all else, lasting over time. Of course, it has a very sad ending, but then so do many love affairs.

You could talk to your daughter about this, about the fact that, even though we think we have met the One, sometimes things do not work out and life must go on. You could also teach her about the Bronte sisters, their stern father, their rigid life on the English dunes. It is said that Heathcliff is patterned after the Pastor that Emily Bronte loved.

    WOW!!!

id suggest something like Wuthering Heights, its a wonderfull romance, or if classics are not her thing (you haven’t put up ages??) try the note book, its more recent but still a brilliant romance novel.

as for talking to her just be your self, no cheesy chat up lines and don’t try to hard!!! have fun and good luck

um, I’d say it depends on her age and what she likes. There are many romantic reads out there. In terms of classics, Pride and Prejudice is a good choice.

How to chat with a girl? I’d say just be yourself, don’t try to be someone that you are not. That’s what worked for my husband and myself (we met in in a real time online text based role play game based in the Dragonriders of Pern series). We are proof that people can and do fall in love over the internet… and without using an online dating site for that matter.

Unforgettable experience? I am 46 years old, dear. Tell me what sort are you looking for as I have been lucky enough to be able to have a few stored away for nice reminiscing :)
