What is a romantic hotel and fun itinerary for our 1st wedding anniversary in Sedona, AZ?

    We were in Sedona for my birthday in February and stayed at the Sky Ranch Lodge.

    It was a bit on the pricey side but it was simply beautiful with the views and private porch. It had a little kitchenette and fireplace. There is an outdoor pool spa, which was not available in February, but I assume will be in May.

    We enjoyed the hiking and trails, driving up and down 89A, exploring. We picnicked at Slide Rock State Park, played in the snow a bit. Mid-May will be perfect weather!

    We stayed away from the touristy shopping, but there are a lot of art galleries and trinkety shops in Sedona. The main touristy area is shaped like a Y becasue of the 3-way intersection. You’ll find a lot of great restaurants, especially the Oak Creek Brewery. Many people enjoy taking the jeep tours, vortex tours, hot air balloon rides, and airplane rides over the Grand Canyon. Sedona is also a popular spot for camping.

    I enjoyed the pink jeep tours that take you out in into the open land. Also, Oak Creek Canyon is a nice drive and plenty of places to stop and sit by the creek and relax (make out hah hah).
