well you could try the sookie stackhouse novels, the Twilight series basically ripped them off, so if you like Twilight you’ll love them!

    Enjoy!

One of my favorites is called Pirates! by Celia Rees.

It is not as full of romance as Twilight, but it is an awesome book.

    The plot is this:
A girl wants to marry her true love, but is not allowed because he is a lowly sailor. Instead she is supposed to marry “The Brazilian” because he is rich and her father died, left her brothers in charge, and they are in a lot of debt. She will only marry her true love, so she runs away with one of her slaves (who she has become very close to) and joins a bunch of pirates. She even has to dress as a man.

It’s really good, it’s got sword fighting and she even has to go into a tavern in disguise and gets hit on by a bar maid. ;-)

I hope you read it, it’s really good.

Okay, I know you’re looking for vampire type stuff, but check out “The Witching Hour” by Anne Rice. It is not like her vampire chronicles. It is a wonderful love story with a supernatural twist. This is the first book in the series of The Mayfair Witches. Happy reading!

    The Marked series.

    It’s also about “vampyres.”

But Twilight is still the best!
