    I got my first from Victoria’s Secret when I was 19 if I remember correctly. My mom didn’t know I had any for a while but when she found out, she just thought it was gross. To this day she still does not understand why I wear them! When you break the news, tell it like you are excited about something you found on sale, or mention it casually among some other purchases you made.

    Hi Sugar, Not to old and not to young. I get my at Wal-Mart they have some that are $1.99,$2.99 and a pack of 3 for $4.99 i have purchased all different prices. They may look uncomfortable but they are really comfortable and that’s the only thing i wear now.. Lol Lol..

    dw… its just a thong – whatever you prefer
    you don’t have to tell her you know… like it’s your own business…
    then agen if she does the washing she’s bound to find out
    if she flips out then thats a bit weird
    just say you prefer wearing them and give like some good explanation as to why and tell her that your old enough to pick your own underwear! lol

    anyway… who knoes you might not even like it

    I got my first one at 16, from Robinsons-May (now Macy’s). Don’t remember the price, but it was reasonable.

    If your mom flips out, just let her know that they’re comfortable — which is the truth.

    I was 18 and I bought it from H&M. They have a lot of different colours and style and they’re not expensive.
    My mum didn’t say anything because at this time, I was wearing tight jeans and I told her I didn’t want to have obvious “underwear lines”. I’ve got tired of wearing thongs anyway (I’m now 24), they’re not comfy! Boyshorts can also be as **** as thongs (even more) and they’re so much comfier!

    i got my first thong when i was either 11 or 12. anyway, it was 6th grade. and it was my mom who actually bought it for me. we were shopping at old navy when she saw a pack of them and just threw it in the cart. i have no idea why, but she thought i should wear more ‘mature’ underwear as she put it. i have no clue. my point is, it’s underwear. and it’s better than going commando. yes? but i did end up throwing mine away b/c my friends told me it was ’slutty’. whatever, that’s 6th grade girls for you. but i will warn you, they’re definitely not comfortable. (for me at least) i never wear them anymore.

    I was in high school.. i think a freshman.. My friends all wore them and my sisters did so i thought it was time i wore them. A bunch of my girlfriends went to the mall with me and we got cute ones. like under $6. I didn’t say anything to my mother either cuz i felt silly and didn’t want her to say i was still to little or something. But i just wore them. she washed my clothes for me sometimes and didn’t really say anything. After awhile she would be like ooo those are the underwear my daughter wears.. i don’t get it.. lol we never had a problem and my family makes fun of me for wearing them and i make fun of them for having panty lines =]

    oh and i would try different kinds.. the bigger thongs tend to be really uncomfortable. g strings aren’t mad but they have a bad rep. I like them but i’ll wear any of them as long as they aren’t the big ones. the skinner the better for me

    I was 12….I went shopping w/ my friends and didn’t want to tell my mom at first, but about 2 or 3 months went by and I was brave enough to show her my thong that i was wearing. I thought she’d flip out, but she was actually proud of me for doing something crazy lol, but she was very proud and does not mind at all if I buy thongs around her or not….I am 13 now.
