My mother has gained weight and has been known to wear a girdle from time to time. Recently, while wearing a girdle, her blood pressure was checked and read to be abnormally high. I suggested that maybe the girdle she was wearing was playing a role in her BP being so momentarily high. When she took it off later, it returned to normal. She is still skeptical, but I believe it was causing the spike in her systolic and diastolic numbers. What do you think?
